Hi....I'd recently installed a compustar 2 way LCD pager alarm in my vehicle.  A few weeks after that I had installed ground wires in my engine bay for "supposedly better fuel mileage and performance".   The situation right now is, that after leaving my vehicle armed for atleast 4-5 hours, it won't start anymore.  I would crank it but it doens't make any start noises, ie starter noises trying to start the car.  There seems to be power cause all the instrument lights are on, and I could hear the fuel pump.  To start the vehicle I would have to jump the battery.  To isolate the possible culprit, first I removed my grounding wires (no difference), next I just let the car sit for a few hours but unarmed.  It started but seemed hesitant.  So I'm guessing that possibly the alarm might be drawing too much power?? I've checked all the wiring, I have a good ground, relays hooked up correctly, both 12V wires (red, RED / white) hooked up at ignition harness 12V const.  This has me really puzzled!!! Please help!!!

I never installed compustar because don't trust them but I would check the relays built into the system.
One of them might be a normal open relay and when the system will arm the relay will close and being keept closed draining your battery.

you said that it has been working for a few weeks. then it starting acting up.......

have you had your battery tested??????

it might just seem like the alarm, but your battery might have been on its way out and you helped push it in the grave a little faster. go get it tested and post your findings...................
