I've been dealing with this silly thing for almost 2 weeks.  I've beent through 2 bypass modules and neither of them seem to get the job done.

Someone told me I could buy a resistor within 5% and put it one end on the vehicle side of the yellow passlock wire and the other on the passlock ground for a permanent bypass.  Will this work or are there other connections required like there is for the bypass module (IE bulb test)?  I don't really care if Passlock is disabled all the time or not.  If the above solution will work I had rather do that than then relay+resistor method.

Thanks

You have to use the relay & resistor to permanently bypass the Passlock I system because the relay switches between the bulb test wire and the module side of the YELLOW wire.

grab a passlok 1 module from DEI, the other ways eventually fail.. i had never seen the relay resistor, system work longer than a couple of months...

the "resistor" only bypass you are talking about only works on passlock II
