Hi,

I have a question. When testing wires for car alarms and remote starters which is better to use a Multi Meter or a Test Light?

The test light is Weakon SST which has both power and ground testing capabilities and is run off 12v either from the cig lighter or the battery

I am confused

Thanks

A DMM will always be better than a test light even if it is "computer friendly". Just for fun plug your test light into a cig lighter and use a multimeter to test both voltage at the tip, and also resistance to ground from the tip.
Happy metering

concour with Anon, not all airbag wires are shielded in yellow tubing.  A DMM or digital multimeter is the only safe way to do probe wires.  A lightmeter even one deamed safe isn't, nor is a analog multi-meter.
