Well, I finally finished installing my Hornet 554T into my 1993 Honda Prelude. Everything works: door trigger, lock/unlock, hood trigger, shock sensor, and starter kill.

However, I haven't gotten the remote start to work yet. I bought that Peripheral Neutral Safety Switch Bypass, but I can't seem to make it start. The car will turn the accessories on and then shut off.

Now, the 554T has a neutral safety toggle switch. One end goes to the alarm/remote start, the other end is supposed to go to D or N gear to get ground. I just grounded it. Is this correct or does it connect to the NSS.

Also, will a bad tach signal prevent remote start from working. I think I got it, but not positive. I used the test connector and tapped the blue/white wire.

Someone please help. It would be nice to have.

Thanks,

Tony Nguyen

if it is not turning over the starter you must go back in and check out your large purple wire and see if it has 12+ on it when the starter is engaged, if you have that then reverify that you are on the correct starter wire.

The remote start won't turn on because the AED is on. (Automatic Engine Disable or Start Kill.) I had to disable the Starter Kill in order to get the remote start to work.

Well, my tach signal WAS bad. I had to change that and do the tach learning. Then, I have a clutch safety thing that wouldn't let me start unless I push the clutch it. I bypassed that and now everything is good. Again, I have the Peripheral NSS, which keeps manual remote start safe.
