Hello all...
I am installing a CS-2011RS alarm / remote starter into my 94 Toyota Pickup... manual transmission. It comes factory with a button on the dash that bypasses the clutch so you can start the truck without the clutch in... Can anyone help me figure out how to have my remote starter activate this???
Thanks in advance!
Mike

i havent done that many manual, but ill try to help.
how many wires are coming out of the little switch?
if two, then one of the wire must be connect to complete the circuit. so one of the wire will not have neg or pos and the other one will have.
hope it helps

I installed a RS on a 94 T100 and all I needed to do was connect a (-) out when running to one of the wires at the switch above the clutch. It sounds like the switch on the dash is after market. The dash switch likely triggers a relay that grounds one of the wires at the switch above the pedal, so you should test the dash switch to see how it acts then duplicate the action using a (-) out when running wire and a relay, or something along that nature. Likely the dash switch will have 2 wires and the switch will simply connect the two wires, so if you wanted to duplicate that you would just use a relay with Pin 30 connected to one wire, and pin 87 to the other. then Pin 85 to a ground out when running from the starter, and Pin 86 to an Ignition source.

Hey thanks for the replies.... I haven't looked at the back of the switch.... but I can tell you that it isn't aftermarket... I just bought this truck from my Dad who bought it new in 94... I guess the idea behind it was to let you use the starter to help jog you out of mud etc...
it is a Toyota switch.... my guess is they didn't keep that in there for very long due to liability reasons...
So once I figure out if it's neg or pos I can use one of the outputs on the alarm / starter to activate it?
Thanks again!

yeah, use a relay to properly bypass it.
