i've got the intellistart 4 added to my concept 200. on the owner's manual for the concept 200 (from directed.com), on page 12, the table of user-selectable features, column 2 row 4, it shows that the autostart settings are: both off / both on / temp only / battery only. on the concept 200 install manual, page 10, it's saying neither / battery / temperature / both. i'm confused. does anyone know which is correct? and one more thing, what part of the unit actually senses the temperature?

Intellistart as it is an extra module that can also be installed as stand alone unit.

What is it you're trying to achieve?

elray, i want to know which setting correlates with the 1-chirp setting, 2-chirp setting, 3-chirp setting and 4-chirp setting. for example, if i want my intellistart to autostart my car when the temperature drops below a certain temp, and to autostart also when the battery voltage drops below a certain voltage, which chirp setting should i be selecting? concept 200 owner's manual tells me it's the second setting (2 chirps for both on), but the install manual tell me it's the last setting (4 chirps for both). hope that clears it up for you.

Hey 80085,
I can see why you are confused with the programming on Installation and Owner's Manuel. Three or Four years ago, I installed a number of IntelliGuards and Concepts series. BTW, both series are identical and some installation added IntelliStart4 with it.
Well, since you live in Canada, you can tried to program it with 4 chips from the Installation Manuel for both Battery and Temperture Sensing. If it works than great and if it doesn't than tried to program it the other way. BTW, it will start getting pretty cold in some Provinces shortly. I never use the Autostart features with my installation because it doesn't get cold enough in Vancouver BC. Autostart feature is great for the rest of Canada.
Good luck
