Can anyone tell me if it's ok to connect the parking light wire off the module to the headlights instead of the parking lights.

If you are hooking your headlights up to the alarm's parking light output then sure, you may want to up the fuse to what the car's fuse is.

Headlights are often a negative trigger, while parking lights are usually positive trigger. It will vary depending on the vehicle. Headlights also consume a lot more power than parking lights. Changing the fuse to a higher value is not the correct way to do it. You would need to use a relay to increase the current capability.
All of what I just said is rather pointless unless we know what kind of car you have so we can answer your question properly.

I have a 99 ford taurus se. I just want to make sure it's safe. I don't want to burn the headlights electrical system. I notice that some car makers like dodge intrepid uses the front headlight on their factory alarms so I was curious if it was also safe to do.

According to mecp is not recommended because of the current draw and life of the bulbs

Well a fire can be avoided by adding a fuse to the relay, that way if something happens the fuse will fry and not your car. That is, if you decide to do the headlight instead of the parking light just keep in mind that if the alarm goes off for a long period of time your battery will run dead because of the current draw.

Oh, I understand now what your tring to say I didn't realize that the battery would run dead from the current draw. Well I change my mind I'll leave it the way it is thanks for your help!!
