While looking here for wiring colors chart for a remote starter for the 2000 Ford Explorer, I got two different charts that contradict each other ..  Can anyone help me decypher which is the correct chart?

One chart says there is no IGN2 wire  - One says the IGN2 wire is Gray / YELLOW, AND the same Gray / YELLOW wire is ALSO the Accessory wire.  Can one wire serve as both IGN and Accessory?  Don't we normally seperate these so the heater turns on after the car is started?

Also, one chart says that the BLACK/ Green wire is the accessory, and the other chart says that the BLACK/ Green wire is IGN3 ..

Test the wires using a DMM if you are unsure. Where ever you get information about car's wiring diagrams there might be differences because some cars tend to have diffrent wire colors (not often but it happens) and I think everyone should agree that you don't just hook up wires because someone told you, you need to identify, test, and carry on with the install. Good luck

I agreed with Elray. You should test every wire and regardless what others tell you. Here is another wiring info for your reference.

Good luck
