I've got 93 Honda Accord with a Code-Alarm system installed right after I bought it. The guy really hacked into the harnesses and made a mess, but everything seemed to work (side note: a "free" install will always cost you something..eventually.). I got a power window module and remote start at the time of the install.

Now ten years later, my driver's side window won't work, either using the normal control on the armrest, or using the remote. The passenger window is just fine using either. I took it into Honda, and the guy claimed the relay and motor are still good, and it must be the alarm that's mucking it up. He said the alarm was a mess and he didn't know anything about it, so I was on my own.

Has anyone ever seen something like this happen this many years post install?? Any ideas on a quick solution?

Finally, if there are any professionals in the San Diego area on here that think they could fix this, drop me a line (alarmfix@rawkabilly.com).

thanks

The guy at the dealer said the alarm was a mess but he didn't know a thing about alarms? funny! how can he say it's a mess if he has no clue what he's looking at?  If the install  lasted 10 years I don't think it was that of a mess. When installing a power window module you usually split the factory wires and connect it to the module. I figure the module has given up on you so current is not passing through the relays, maybe you can reconnect the cables back to factory and see if it works. Remove the door pannel and see if the installer did his connections there and if he did simply put the wires back the way they used to be. Good luck
