im bascially look at an alarm for about 150-250 dollars installed.

i bascially need something simple/basic.

and i did a serach and i didnt run across this or any pervious post that suited my needs

Are shops charging that much now for basic alarms?

Man I have been out of this too long. $250 installed should get you a pretty good unit. Not remote start of course. Find small shops and look around. Even Bestbuy has them all the time for that price I think.
