I am having the worst luck with installing the keyless entry part of my alarm... I just bought a Rattler 300 with Keyless entry. The alarm portion of the install went pretty well (except for the dome lights that are all screwed up now for some reason) but i am having a terrible time trying to figure out my door locks... I have been to the DEI website and of course didn't have any luck there and i have scoured the web to try to find something that would help and again no luck... i'm just not sure as to what kind of lock system it is and what wires are supposed to be used...

Thanks for any help.

Thank You!

so, basically it's a single wire system... and what i will need are two relays and two resistors... simple enough (i think). (i hope) (i pray).....

i might have to look at my alarm a little closer also,  as i think it has some type of relay function built into it... so maybe all i need are those two resistors...

thanks again

Well, your alarm system has positive and negative door lock but when using a couple resister. You don't want any resistance feeding back to the alarm system. Use a couple relays will eliminate this problem.

Good luck

well, i went  and checked but the sebring convertible and coupes are totally different. in my coupe i have to wires, a BROWN / white lock wire and a brown unlock wire. they are both negative wires. so what kind of system is this?

i can't seem to find any diagrams that are car specific help me...

1998 sebring (not convertible) although a 98 dodge avenger will be the same diagram as my car...

thank you... pure

Ok, if you have two wires and is negative trigger then you don't need relays. Most alarm system has Negative and Positive door lock trigger. Just connect it to the alarm system. Simple way to test the Negative Door Lock is use a wire with a fuse on it then test it on the Door Lock and Unlock wire. If the door lock and unlock than you don't need relays. Good Luck.
