I was looking at the wiring diagram for my truck it says to make my contection at the BLACK/ light blue wire on the courtesy light under the dash. My truck does not have the courtesy light under the dash can anyone tell me if the wiring is there for this courtesy light that I can Tap into or where else can I get the signal from Thanks alot (The truck is a 2000 Ford Explorer)

You will have to run a wire to the Domelight on the roof or you make find it on the driver's or pessenger's piller. Good luck

You could always use the true )-) door triggers
In the drivers door harness find yellow/black for the drivers door. In the drivers kick panel find lt. GREEN/ YELLOW for the drivers rear door. In the passengers kick panel find gray/red for the passenger front door, and pink/lt. blue for the passengers rear door. All four wires are negative trigger and must be diode isolated together.
If you don't want to go thru that trouble, you can usually find the BLACK/ light blue domelight wire in the drivers or passengers kick panel. Keep in mind, you probably have a delayed domelight. That might not work so well with certain kinds of alarms...the brand which you didn't list.
