Hello all,

I have a Viper model 300 and I was wondering how I could wire channel 2 output (which is a RED / white wire) to make the head lights on a vehicle come on. I have 2 realys (I assume that they came with it) and one is used for the shock sensor (done according to the directions of the included 504D double guard shock sensor). I bought this system new/used (I say that because it was open but everything was un-used and still in plastic wrapping and works when I tested it... it's going in my mom's car). I know this can be done but, I have never done it before. Thanks for the advice guys (or girls).

I don't understand while a shock sensor would need a relay but oh well

The output is not latched so the lights would only come on as long as you held that button unless you search on this site to convert a momentary to latched output

85 - constant
86 - RED / white viper wire
30 - to headlights
87 - to ground or positive depending on what activates the headlights. (check at switch)
87a - no connection

Floaterr,

I don't understand why it would need it either but according to the directions, that is what it said (it is a slightly older model so maybe things have changed?). Anywho, thanks for the directions on how to do that. I think my mother may have changed her mind but, I can always throw it in my summer only car (a 1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia ;-) ).

I am also going to be getting a new car soon and, if things go right, it's going to be a 2004 WRX STi. Where can I get the wiring diagram for that car? I see on this site where it goes to year 2000 but nothing newer. Anyone out there that you know of that can get me the info that I need? Thanks again dude!

Reguards,

Joe
