Just remember, the range on factory units is usually really poor, sometimes only 30 feet. Might want to test that before deciding to use your factory remote.

new hondas have a pretty good range, enough to remote start from your home. besides, most ppl only use it at home in the morning.
here is link to some old threads may give u some idea------------- Houston,TX

Honda remotes don't work with the car running, so remote start off the factory remotes would be pretty silly.
You could maybe get hold of the factory Honda service manual, figure out how the factory keyless works, and rewire it so it will still work with the car running.....but that will be a large task unless you're very experienced.
Probably the best bet would be to get a remote starter with its own remotes, and set it up to operate the car's locks, trunk, and factory alarm arm and disarm.
If you can arm and disarm your factory alarm by turning your key in the car's door, you can have the aftermarket unit duplicate that.

on the 96accord the unit is placed in an obvious place like under the steering wheel. but the new hondas are placed in somewhere, probably hard to work with anyways. the wire that prevents the keyless to work is the chime wire when you first put in the key(noturning) find that wire and cut it and see if anylucks there.

YES, you can! You will need the SureStart 56 Remote starter. It work on the LOCK or UNLOCK pluse. (3 times) We have them cost around $50
