In the next few day i i will be installing a car alarm in an 03 kia rio. The owner wants me to have to alarm control the door locks too,  i downloaded  a wiring diagram for for the car from one of the links on this site, and it showed the the door lock and unlock are controled on the same wire. i haven't had a chance to metter the wires yet so see if theres anothere one thats also used with locks, i just wanted to see if anyone out here knew what wires i should be look for or how its wired. thanks

the site i got the wire diagram from was bulldog

I've never done an 03 KIA Rio, but it sounds like the veh has multiplexed(resistor based) doorlocks. In this type of system, 1 wire controlls lock\unlock. Different voltage(pos or neg) read by the wire triggers lock or unlock. You will need 2 relays and whatever value resistor is required to mimic the 12v+ or 12v- pulse. The tech info you received should have given you a resistor value.
Hope this helps!
