Ok so when I originaly was looking for an alarm all I wanted was remote locks and and an alarm, just the basics.  Well I got a real good deal on the Viper 790 SO I ended up with a fairly feature packed alarm.  I managed to get it all installed and working but as much as I hate to admit it I only have a vauge notion of what I am doing.  SO Along with my intitial install I managed to install door actuators and a trunk solenoid and auto window roll up so I have one Remote aux output used up.  To be honest I'm not sure if my responder has 4 or 3 additional outputs.  And I am needles to say addicted to this remote stuff  :D

So here is what I want to do if possible at all.

Windows:  I want to keep it so they auto roll up when the system is armed, but I want to see if it is possible to wire them also to an output so I can roll them up with the remote.  Diode maybe??? I would also like to add another module so I can roll them down from the remote.

NOS purge:  I know this has no functional use but it would be really cool for the wow factor to remote purge my Nitrous.  It sounds easy enough but I'm not sure if after the windows I have enough aux outputs.

Does any of this sound doable?

Windows: Yes, you can use dual trigger wires, but make sure you diode isolate the two trigger wires ( even better yet, relay isolate the trigger wires ). Use the systems (-) when armed or starter disable wire to activate the window module to roll up when armed.

Currently the window roll up is hooked to the (-) when armed output.  Now you mention dual trigger wires?  I am not sure I know what a dual trigger wire is, can you be a little more specific?  Or better yet give me a wiring diagram or a schematic then I can actually get a visual on what needs to be done.

My two biggest concerns where

1.  If it the rollup module is on the negative while armed output and I try and roll down the windows via the remote wont they fight eachother since the roll up module is getting a constant (-) signal?

2.  I dont know how many outputs the 790 has and how many are required for the window roll up and roll down.  It would be nice to have it all on one button like push once for down and twice for up or something like that.

For the isolation of this wire, follow this thread as it is much the same idea that yor wanting with the window module as this member wants with his parking lights/trunk release where one wire will do two things. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=18903&tpn=1

Of course the wiring is different but the idea is the same. Diodes will need to be used as well as relays to isolate the two circuits from each other.

You're An ADDICT! posted_image   I know what you mean...I think I'm gonna try to have my remote control my car and drive it to where I'm standing posted_image

Which window module do you have? I'm just curious because on mine, you can:

1. Use the remote to vent or open the windows.
2. Have the windows rollup when you arm the car (or you can have the stay down by hitting a button before you arm it).

When I want to roll the windows back up...all I do is unlock, and then lock the car...since they roll up when the car is armed. It's a lot easier than assigning it a new channel.

I like the purge by remote idea. I don't have nitros or a "car" for that matter but the idea of remote starting the car then purging it all by remote sounds sweet as long as the ride looks sweet..

I have a $12.99 ebay specail.  Which unti do you have?  If I could get one unit that does up and down it would be a lot better than wiring up two boxes.

Also thats a good idea.  I will just leave the lock as window roll up and and use channel 4 on my remote to roll down the windows.

It's the DEI 530t....they run about $45 to $55. Well, it sort of does up and down....like I said, it just rolls them down. But it also rolls them up upon arming. So that's how I roll them up from a distance. If I had an extra channel I guess I could wire it to roll them up, but this works good for now.
