i have the older valet 551t and i orange(-) status pulsing output to energize a relay to power my parking lights(+) like it says in the manual.

everything works however...the lights blink really fast looks like hazard are on.

is there a way that i can make it blink longer? light the lights stay on for a lil bit longer? i read the relay section and i'm not sure if thats what i need to do (pulse to constant)

no what you need to do is have a directed dealer send it back to the manufacturer for an upgrade and pay a couple of bucks instead of using a pulse timer to have it blink alternatively.
