I have a 98 Venture. A Nordic NS4503 alarm/remote starter was installed.

I have taken it back many times to get them to fix the problem I'm having. Every time I arm the alarm with the dome light main switch in the on position 15 seconds later the alarm goes off. The same thing happens when i use the remote to start it and after the van stops running the alarm goes off.

I wait 10 sec after I close the door to arm the system, but 15 sec later it goes off. Is there some thing they are missing that i can do to stop the alarm going off by it self.

Tell them (not that you should have too..) to put a relay off the dome light wire to your door trigger input, or to go to the seperate door triggers themselves and see what happens.

<<main switch in the on position >>

By the way does this mean ON like all the way up where the domelight just stays on all the time, or just on as in active so it goes on and off when you open the doors?

<<The same thing happens when i use the remote to start it and after the van stops running the alarm goes off.>>

See if they have the illuminated exit feature turned on or not. If so then I would turn it off so the domelight doesn't come on when the car shuts off. If they don't have that feature on then the car itself is turning it on and not a whole lot you can do. Good luck

Sounds to me they have the wrong door trigger, or u have an alarm that senses the type of trigger, so when u arm the alarm w/ the dome light still on cause many cars take like 10 sec to fade, it is negative, then when the light turns off it switchs to positive or visa vera, look at the light and see if the alarm triggers exactly when the dome light completely shuts off, iif so, thats ur problem.

I truely think you should consider to take the door triggers input at the bcm... You will find the bcm in the passenger side kick pannel. You will need to use 3 differents wires tan for driver door, blue for passenger door and liftgate, orange for sliding door(s), use diodes to isolate each wires.

hope this will help you!

good luck
