My sons Honda radio was operational until a recent engine change. Ground wire was disconnected now code sign illuminates. We took radio to local dealer and got the 5 digit code. Ground was disconnected to zero thingsout but radio will not accept code. Called different dealer and got same code #. What are we not doing right?????

I think its just the wrong code. i remember someone used a 98 accord unit and put it on a toyota, if you have the main wires hook up then the code accept well w/o a problem.

usually the dealership will need the radio's serial number if it is the original radio then they should be able to get it off the VIN number, just make sure that the number is correct and get the people at the dealership to do it if all else fails.  More than likely it is just a wrong code.
