i need some help with my install. i first plugged everything in, programmed the 555s bypass. everything was working fine. i unhooked everything so i could take it inside the house and tape/tie all the wires together so everything looked nice. then i went back to the car and installed everything back to the way it was. now the lock doesnt work. the unlock works, and the trunk pop works, but the locks do not. all of these wires are hooked up to the factory anti theft module. the lock still works on the factory remote, but not on the remote start remote.
another thing: the remote starter will start the car fine, but after it runs for a couple of seconds, it shuts off. its not the 555s, that is working fine. i hooked up the tach wire to the ign coil near the engine.
like i said, both of these things were working fine until i unhooked everthing. i have a crimestoper rs-900. any help is greatly appreciated

oh and i forgot to add that when the engine turns off, i pushed the start button on the remote to kill the starter. about a minute later, the factory alarm went off.

<<i hooked up the tach wire to the ign coil near the engine.>>
For tach did you hookup to the BLACK/ orange or BLACK/ green? Either one should work. Next not only do you have to hookup the tach wire, but the module in most cases has to learn the tach wire in programming. Also you may need to relearn the 555S since you disconnected it. When remote starting is the small LED light above the radio by the hazard switch solid or blinking? If blinking then thats your problem. As far as the unlock and trunk pop working, but not the lock that is a bit strange. Only case I have seen something like that is a loose connection somewhere. Lock wires will be in the left kick panel BLACK/ red is your lock and BLACK / YELLOW should be your unlock.

Sounds like the factory alarm disarm wasn't hooked up. To test this close all the doors on the car and hit the lock button on the FACTORY transmitter. Wait about a minute or so and then hit the unlock button on the AFTERMARKET transmitter. Open the door and if your factory alarm starts honking then you need to hook up the disarm wire. Good luck

ok i figured it out. the connector on the lock wire was bent so it didnt go into the t-tap all the way. now the locks work fine. as for the tach wire, i reprogrammed it and it works fine now. when u remote start, the security light goes on for a second, then shuts off, just like it does when you use the key to start it. so the bypass is working correctly. as for the alarm going off, i tried what u said, and the alarm didnt go off. so i guess maybe i just accidently hit the alarm button on the remote last night. thanks for your help
