2002 Dodge Ram Quad Cab

Got my system hook up and working fine except the factory disarm.  I have now taken the factory arm wire and the factory disarm wire from the alarm off of the truck and the truck still arms the factory alarm.  I am assuming that it is doing this through the door locks since the factory alarm comes on when you manually lock the door with the power switch.

Side note:  I think the factory alarm has a delay like most alarms (30 sec) before it fully sets up.  I can set the alarm and then disarm it within the 30 seconds and the installed alarm will turn the factory alarm on and off.  Once the factory alarm fully sets up, the aftermarket alarm will not disarm the factory alarm.  This is all happening without the factory alarm arm / disarm wires connected to the truck.

I have tried to connect the arm and disarm wire up per the trucks wiring codes with no sucess.

I had to remove the door panel and trace the wire directly from the door lock to the factory alarm, because what I was told was the disarm wire was not.
