I am going to be installing a directed viper 550 esp alarm in my 1995 toyota camry. I would like to have window up and down control from the remote, but the directed ones are very expensive. For 2 530t's (what i would need to do all 4 of my windows for up and down) it costs me $100. On the other hand, around ebay there are window modules that i would need 1 per window for $15, making it $60 total. I believe these are crimestopper modules, however i am unsure. Should i stick with the directed modules and just pay the $40 extra or is it fine to use the other modules? Also, i read something about the 530t being able to vent the windows while the system is armed. Can i do that with these "generic" modules, and what mode does the 4th chanell input have to be on? Does that mena that if i only want them to go 1/4 the way down when the system is armed i have to hold down the 4th chann whenever i want them to go all the way down, or is there a way to maek it so that when the system is armed, the windows only go down half way, when its disarmed and i activate the 4th canell they go all the way down?

use the directed ones. I bought two of the "2-window, one direction" modules for my Jeep and I still can't get the damned things to work right.. I ended up just pulling them out and jumpering the harnesses so I could use the windows again.

stick with the dei's they are great modules the 530 t is probably the best module on the market today. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. And being that you have a 550 esp that is not a cheap alarm so why cheap out on the modules.

the 530 t will give you venting capabilities as well as one touch window operation on the factory switch. up or down ahhh bet you have not seen that and i also bet those other modules cant do it.

Well, i got an awsome deal on the 550 esp ($120) and have the ability to install it myself, so spending almost as much as the alarm itslef on window modules just made me think twice, but from what you have said i wll defintally go with the dei parts.

well think like this even if you spent 120 dolars on those window modules its still cheaper than having everything insatlled at a shop.a lot cheaper.
