Ok so I was leaving a friends house around midnight and i went to my car and tried to disarm it. Well turns out that my 2 way pager wasn't working. It had power because the backlight would come on and it was showing full on the battery meter but was not showing any updates about my alarm (the door lock sign and the alarm siren showing it was armed). So i took the battery out of the pager and waited for about 2 minutes and then put in back in. The alarm on the car (siren) chirped 4 times but the remote still was just showing the backlight and battery meter but i colud'nt disarm it.  I did this for about 10 minutes and then the next time i put the bateery back in the pager starting making a really quiet half beeping sound continously and all of the icons on the remote were showing but thats all it did it froze with all the icons showing and making that noise it woouldn't diarm my alarm so i had to open my door with the key and let the siren go off pop my hood and yank the alarms power wire from the battery. Any suggestions?

Can I buy an LCD pager from a store (circuit city had some prestige platnium remotes) and use the remote programming on the alarm to use the remote with my alarm. I got my alarm off of ebay it is a stingpro so can i use any remote to work with it as long as i program it or do i have to use a stingpro remote because i am not sure how to get one. PLease help

Im assuming you dont have the manual to your alarm. if you did, id say follow the instructions in the manual to delete all remotes and reinstall all remotes and see if that helps, make sure your antenna in the car is connected securly into the brain,  try a fresh battery in the remote nomatter what the battery meter displays, if all else fails, pull the old brain out buy another one of the exact same alarm and tadaa! its already wired and ready to go (if you havent given up on this brand/model)

I wouldnt reccommend buying a different branded remote. not unless the store you are purchasing it from has a 30 day return policy, which i think most do anyway. i dont think you will be able to program it they probably work on different frequencies, and have different kinds of security features that will limit that remote from communicating with that alarm brain. try to find a manufacturers website and see if they have a help forum of some sort.
