OK, I need some input. Below I have provided the wire colors from my Crimestopper with remote start and the colors from ny 2001 Suburban. There are more wires in the Suburban than the remote start and I'm not sure which one should be left not connected to anything.

Crimestopper Wires:
Brown: Starter Output (30A Max.)
Gray: Accessory (heat/AC) (30A)
Red: +12 Power Input (Battery) Fused (30A)
Red: +12 Power Input (Battery) Fused (30A)
Pink: Ignition 1 (30A Max.)
Pink/White: Ignition or Accessory #2 Output (30A Max.)
-----Obviously the red ones go to the battery, but the rest in not to clear on.-----

Suburban Wires:
Yellow: Starter
Pink: Ignition 1
White: Ignition 2
Orange: HVAC-1
Accessory: Brown

Thanks

The pink on the Suburban allows the motor to run. Connect the pink from your remote starter here.

The white powers up the transmission and some other stuff---you will habe problems if you don't power it up. Connect the pink/white from your remote starter here.

The orange allows the climate controls to operate; remote start would be pointless without this. Connect the gray from your remote starter here.

The brown powers up whatever works when your key is in the Accessory position-----wipers, radio, and so forth. All unnecessary stuff, so you don't need to power this one during remote start. (For some reason, your radio will still come on with the remote start, though.)

And there's plenty of power in the thick red and RED / white wires at the steering column---no need to go directly to the battery.

I've done a lot of those GM trucks, so let me know if there's anything else you need.

If you didn't know about it already, don't forget that you'll need some type of bypass module to get around Passlock II during remote start. (You can get around it yourself with resistors and an optional relay, but it takes longer, and is not as reliable.)

and don't forget the factory disarm wire, or else you'll end up setting off the factory alarm when ever you use the remote to unlock the doors
