Hey 2000vsm, did the sales person tell you about the resistor to cut to get 2x the range on the module ? If you can, take the casing apart on the communication module and slip the board between the roof liner and the roof. ------------- Jeff

I'm not familiar with the antenna that the Black Widow comes with , but the Aladdin antenna's have a bulky casing that you can unscrew 4 screws and take out the board and it is 1/3 the thickness and 3/4 of the size. If the Black Widow has a case simliar to the Aladdin, I would suggest taking it apart so that you can fit it in smaller spaces and hide it better. ------------- Jeff

The resistor is in the communication module. There is a silver piece of tape on the side covering the resistor..... just cut it away from the module. ------------- Jeff

Doesn't matter if you cut it away or if you just cut in half. As for the resistor in the CPU..... we don't go in there, voids your warranty. ------------- Jeff

how about i put the antenna inside my sunvisor. like take out my mirror in the sunvisor and put it there.. or in my glovebox area?

The sunvisor is a good place to slip it into. The glove box may have too much EMI that will reduce your range but try both places and see which is better for the range. ------------- Jeff
