I am installing an RKE (remote keyless entry) into my 2000 Dodge Caravan. I have an RKE from a 2001 Dodge Caravan. It has four wires, one for +12V, one for ground, one for the "lock/unlock" function and one for the "panic" function. From the "2000 Dodge Caravan Security Information", I can see that the wire for the "lock/unlock" function goes to the WHITE/ Dark Green connection on the BCM. Here is the question, where does the wire for the "panic" function connect to?? Thanks, Walt  WPowissr@juno.com

That car uses single wire resistor type locks, you have to use 2 relays and resistors to get the locks to function properly, you connect the panic function to your horn honk wire.

best of luck,

Eric

The 2000 and 2001 Caravans are two totally different vehicles wiring wise. It appears the unit you have from an 01 has the relays with the correct resistances built into it so you would just need to connect it to the lock wire in the van. Unfortunately, the resistance values changed from 2000 to 2001 so they are not compatible.

Thanks for the help. Whitey, I am curious as to where you got the info relative to the grey/orange wire. Thanks, Walt
