I purchased a vehicle that contains the remains of an Alpine 8046 alarm. To my knowledge, there are vital pieces missing but I'm not sure what. I need help to untangle and make sense of the mess of wires I've been left with under my dash so I can remove what's left & start clean. I don't need or want the alarm, but I don't want to proceed without some guidance because I have no idea which wires are crucial and which ones are useless. Please help if anyone has information. Thank you!

GM

Just start taking the alarm out wire by wire. The only thing that you should have to reconnect is the starter wire.

That's pretty much the path I started out on but ran into a few snags under the steering column. There is a wire harness spliced into a few wires under there & due to my ignorance, I have no idea where to re-connect the wires. Before I cut something important, I figured I'd ask for some advice. Thank you for the reply!posted_image
