I have a Autopage RS-750LCD alarm that I tried to install in my 1996 camaro.  The camaro already had a factory keyless enty alarm system.  I used a web site that show how to insall an alarm on this paticular car and tapped into the specific wires it instructed to tap into.  After hooking up all these conections including door lock relay, trunk , and hoop pin switch I decided to try it out(note: I did not hook the starter kill relay, or the remote start relay either).  The lock, unlock, and trunk functions all worked, but the car absolutly would not start with the key!  Is this because I still have the existing factory alarm, or because I did'nt hook up the starter kill relay?  If its because the factory alarm is there any kind of module I can buy to by-pass the factory system?  Any replies would be of great assistance.

Thanks,

John

Did you end up cutting the starter wire in half and not install a relay ?

Did you not bypass the VATS system ?? How did you do this ? The car won't start if the VATS sysetm has been cut or deactivated.
