Do they make an alarm that is able to remote start a 5-speed car? I`ve seen the r/s for the manuals but nothing with an alarm. I would also like it to have the 2-way FM option. If they don`t have one of these what would is the best alarm out there? I just bought a `03 Focus and I want to put big $ in my system and don`t want to lose it. I`ve already had someone break out my glass in my Hyundai to try and get my stuff(luckily I did have an alarm). So let me know what alarms you guys think are the best. Thanks.

Many of the two way systems available are for both or you can get a manual transmission ONLY versions. Autostart, Ultra Start, Lynx 2000R & DEI's along with other companies carry what you are looking for.

Thanks is there one that is better than the other? I now have a Crimestopper in my my that I am selling and I like it but the remote is a little big and it`s not for a manual tranny. What is your opinion on putting a remote start on a 5-speed? Is it worth it? It is my car I don`t think I would want to put one on someone else`s car. Thanks again.

You have to get out the car differently then normal but thats not to bad

Heck yeah! Remote start is worth it no matter what! Just make sure to get one that does RS on manual tranny's and follow it's install. i.e. don't try and install it as if it was an auto. I have a buddy who dang near broke his leg that way. Moron remote started the car in gear (well it didn't start) and then ran in front of the cranking car to stop it (?), it pinched him between his car and another.

To the best of my knowledge the only thing different on the install is bypassing the clutch and hooking up to the ebrake.

Good Luck!

... and the doorpins.
