I'm installing the Compustar alarm/remote start unit 2WFM-AS and require -12 volt on the ebrake wire to activate. The default wire at the bottom of the ebrake is +12 volts. Can someone please tell me is there an -12 ebrake wire on a 1999 intergra or is there other way to wire the ebrake to give -12volt. Thanks.

You will need to use a relay if all the alarm has is a negative input for the parking brake.

Your probably metering the wire wrong. It will show ground when the brake is on, positive when the brake is off. I don't think I have ever seen a parking brake show positive when it is on.

Hi JWorm, I tested the wire from the factory switch at the bottom of the ebrake handle. With accessory on, I have ground (- green lite) when ebrake is off and positive (+ red lite) when ebrake is on. Am I test it right? Do you know where is the ebrake wire beside the ebrake handle on '99 Integra? any suggestion is appreciated.

Can someone please tell me where is the parking brake wire beside the one on the parking brake switch. I'm installing a Compustar alarm/remote start unit that require a wire shows ground when the parking brake is on, positive when the brake is off. The ebrake switch shows opposite. thanks.

You should be able to find it at the back of the instrument cluster, since the light that says "brake" when you have the e-brake on doesn't magically get the signal.

Green wire Red Tracer Silver dots, in the green plug top left of the fuse box, easily found after the lower dash is dropped, in the bundle of wires right next to where the 10mm bolt holds in the metal cross brace......Test the wire with the iginition on, it should show 12v with the e-brake off, and ground with the ebrake on
