what do you guys do with it.  bundling is bad, but what else do you do?

Do you mean extra inside the car or extra that you just have laying around??

Drive it like you rented it!

I usually install my antennas in the tint line at the top of the windshield. Because of that, I can tuck all of the excess length between the roof and the headliner. I've found that dropping the liner just a bit on the driver's side will allow you to make a few neat, switch-backs to take up the slack without generating an inductance loop.

Best practice here is to cut the cable to the length you need and re-attach the connector. If you can't do that because a) you don't have the appropriate crimp tools to reterminate the line or b) the connector is non-standard and you can't get more of them... Then anything that does not repeatedly loop the cable is good. With cable that does not have a 100% braid or foil shield, the looping can create an inductor in the line. Generally inductors with loops as large as we tend to make them when we're wrapping up wire act as low-pass filters, cutting out most of the high frequency RF you probably want to receive or transmit via the cable!
