Ok so here is the deal, so far i have only done installs on a 2001 jeep that uses a door lock module and aftermarket actuators. I am installing a remote start/alarm on a 99 legacy tomorrow and have a question about using relays with the door locks.

The dei alarm im using gives a (-) for lock and (-) for unlock, easy enough, the subary needs a (-) for lock and (-) for unlock. I dont think that the dei will give it a true ground so I will have to use a relay to get the good ground.

How do i do that? What does the diagram look like?

Thanks alot

if you have any tips for me with this car i will appreciate it :-)

I agree....relays are a waste.  the ground signal isn't the one grounding the actuators, its providing the factory module/relay pack with signal....
