I have an alpine 8028 alarm, pretty basic, and was installed at circuit city, they did a pretty poor job of hiding it and stuff like that. i wanted to upgrade to one that has a proximity sensor, shock and possibly tilt sensor, and a 2-way long range pager. what alarm should i get, i don't want to spend too much. also, i would like to install it myself, considering they already did the hard parts for me (hooking up to the locks, parking lights, starter cut, and stuff like that). being that i want to do this myself, and have never done an alarm, although i am pretty good at stuff like this (my only problem would be knowing where to tap in to things) should i get another alpine alarm that has the features i want, or does it matter?

Get a FM 2 way alarm/remote starter. It has all the functions of the Alpine + it's also a remote starter and a pager system to let you know if the car is being broken into. ------------- Jeff
