Hi all,
I 'd like to know how to install remote starter for my 97 Lexus ES300. Do I need bypass module? Any input will be appreciated.

No bypass necessary for this year vehicle. Other than that, installation is straight forward on this vehicle.

You do not need any bypass modules. You do need to make sure that you get the factory alarm to disarm when you remote start.
In this car the factory alarm arm and disarm wires are the same wires as the lock unlock wires which are dk blue/white and dk blue at the fusebox in an orange plug. Your remote starter should have negative outputs for these functions. You will need a wire that sends out a neg pulse b4 the car starts and on after the car starts. The reason for this is that when the car starts and a neg pulse goes to the disarm wire the doors will unlock then the next pulse will got to the lock wire to lock the doors again.
