wow, I have never seen a module that cost $70, where did you see that? there is a slick bypass module that has a 4 easy wire install which uses the data line. It learns the resistence on its own instead of having to measure the resistence yourself. That way you dont need to cut the wires either. The module is called the PLDATA and you can take a look at it here: www,bypasskit.com

There is a link on there to their retail site. I dont know where else you can buy one but there are other places.

I personally use a relay and a resistor to bypass the passlock I and II (Most of the time)

Here is a link to a diagram using a relay and a resistor:
Passlock II Temporary Bypass (Diagram #2)

Good luck

That $70 is a full pop, retail shop price (ouch).  they cost about $20 cdn to buy if you're a dealer...

sounds about right....but I've always been skeptical of audiovox products  posted_image  I insist on using genuine Autostart modules...not only is the warranty and support excellent, they simply plug into the back of each model I sell, making the install SUPER slick....and if I do the exchange, I'm paying about the same.  so I'm happy!  posted_image
