does the car have factory keyless entry/theft system?  if so, you'll need to bypass that as well as the Passkey III imobilizer.  hit the org/blk wire in the drivers kit with a disarm pulse (diode split the unlock pulse if necessary), THEN start the car, then rearm/relock.

I too have a 2002 GP, and had to do it this way.  Autostart products with factory disarm make this easy.  Upon receiving the start signal, it disarms the alarm, unlocks the doors, starts the car, rearms and relocks the doors.  This is how I had to have it to work without setting that damned alarm off....works great!

I've done lots of these, but have never had to unlock the doors to start the car.  You do have to adjust the programming for the factory security to rearm after the run time, though.

the autostart prodcut I have has the factory disarm and rearm dynamically tied to the doorlocks (I think).  I've got factory security disarm set up (and works well), and it gives a double unlock pulse, powers up and starts the car, then relocks.  Also relocks after run time ends (cause these cars pop the locks open on "key off" operation).

Dunno man...seems to be the way for us....and it works, so no complaints posted_image

You really dont need to unlock the doors though since there is a disarm wire. And as far as the doors unlocking after the RS shuts off, I bet you can program them to not unlock after ignition off if you look in the factory manual. I would never use a setup that unlocked the doors even if just for a moment.
