hello all, first post but I want to commend everyone who goes into making this site what it is, GREAT. enuff kissin..

I got a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada (GM S10) and am in the planning stages of install my CS2011RS starter/alarm. I have electric seats with the memory feature, I am curious if there is a way to still use this feature with this unit. I really only ever use one memory location so there is possibility for compromise, but having both would be sweet(-n-stuff).

(For anyone who doesn't know, the dirvers seat has 2 memory positions with each of the factory remotes coresponding to one configuration.) I don't know how there programed from GM.

Thanks everyone..

You missed it by one year for the door lock bypass module that retains the driver's personal settings like the seats. Try giving https://www.bypasskit.com a call and see if they have anything for the '01.

Or you can pull the switch assembly from the door and experiment: Use a multimeter and test to see what kind of signal is being sent when you press the #1 button on the door. If it is just a negative or positive signal you can incorporate that with the passenger unlock option on the CS-2011 (operates by pressing the disarm button two times in a row) and when you press that disarm button the second time, it will adjust to your settings. If the signal is positive, you will have to use a relay since the passenger unlock signal on the CS-2011 is negative.

Another thing you might want to try. After taking out my memory switch and determining the settings, I wired the unlock pulse to the switch for the primary user. I disabled the ignition lock feature on the alarm, and used the factory ign lock so it wouldnt switch to user 1 settings every time you turned the vehicle off. I then hooked up the secondary memory to the trunk release pulse. I programmed the trunk release to disarm with activation, and the users just use different remote buttons.
