what happened to my alarm? i have an old clifford arrow II. it came with my car. after a few days, the siren/speaker died, and started to emit clicks and clunks rather then anything else

afterwards, i wired up a freinds siren/speaker, and it didnt do anything. so after replacing mine, the alarm ceased to function at all. the LED indicator wouldnt emit anything, unit wouldnt operate at all. i checked all the connections, but it all looks intact. it just died out of nowhere. any ideas what i can do?

are the clifford wiring harnesses universal? can i grab maybe a diff unit and it will plug in, or will i have to splice the entire harness again to support a new one?

well you said that all the wires were intact but did you check for voltage and also try getting a new ground spot. good luck.

Sounds like a no or low voltage problem.

The clifford harness of today are different from the arrow II's, so you would have the change out all the wiring unless you can find an arrow II to replace your alarm with.

Check your ground and also your battery connection . Check all fuses to the units as well as get your battery checked to see if it is still good. Most batteries last for about 4-6 years.
