Did all 3 buttons work before you replaced the battery in the remote?

Maybe try unplugging the wiring harnesses going to the module for a bit, and then plug them back in. Maybe that will let the remote work again.

first thanks for the reply

no only the top lock/unlock  and the bottom start worked.

the funny thing is, after i lost the remote its been about a year, the doors started to lock when you start it with key and unlock when you shut off.

it only locked before when you used the remote start never unlock.

someone told me to open door, turn key on -off 4 times all with foot on brake, then push top button on remote.you can hear the box click, butit wont do anything else.

i really want to use this again,so i need to find out what to do and i dont know where else to look.

please let me know if you have any ideas

thanks again

So only the button that controls lock/unlock worked, and the button that controls remote start? Now nothing works at all...even though you replaced the battery?

Did you try my suggestion about unplugging the harness for a while, and then plugging it back in?

yes i tried unhooking the box ,i took it out of the truck for about 1/2 hour but it did the same thing. just the top[unlock] and bottom[start] buttons were the only ones that ever worked before, now the top makes the box click when you try to program as i said above. any more suggestions?

thanks

Sorry dude, I'm running out of ideas.

I guess the next thing would be to try to find the install manual...but I can't find it anywere.

I used to install that crap a couple years ago. Probably the worst product I've used out of 5 different brands over 6 years of installing.

Unplugging it and plugging it back in will usually do the trick. If it doesn't, you may need to reprogram the remotes. I think this is how you do it.
Open door
Foot on brake.
Key on and off 4 or 5 times....leaving it in the on position
Hit button 1 on the remotes.
