Thanks to this site, I searched the forums and figured out how to install this Code Pro 1000SE alarm.  But I still have a few problems.

#1. The unit appears to be new and came with 4 remotes. I have the owners manual. On the back of the alarm box is a sticker which looks like a date code. The manual states I am to turn ignition key ON,OFF, then on and after 2 seconds the status indicator will flash and I can then program the remotes. That doesn't work.  It also says to program selectable options ( siren chirps while arming, system arms automatically, etc) that I need to turn the ignition ON<OFF<ON<OFF and then on and wait for a flashing code entry. That doesn't work either.

#2. But I did get the remotes programed and working. I found this method by one of the guys here. "Turn ignition on, then push the reset button and hold it, then hit a remote button to program it." That got the remotes to work. (Thanks!)

The manual says I have several options. I want to turn some off. " Doors lock when all doors are closed and ignition is turned on"  I would like turned off. Also System arms automatically I want turned off.

But I can't enter the programing mode. Is there another way?  Beginning to wonder if manual is all wrong.

Can anyone give me an idea to try that perhaps worked on their code alarm een if it was a different model? Thanks!

Never used that brand but here is a thought.
Are you supposed to have the door open or anything while you are trying to enter the programming mode? My Viper alarm requires me to open the driver door and then turn the ignition on and then off. Maybe that one works similar. Like I said though...I've never used that brand before so it's just an idea. Hope you figure it out. Good Luck. posted_image

The more I fool with it, the more I think that this owners manual is not the right one. It seems this owners manual is kind of generic, like it works with some models but not on mine.

To program the remotes to work with the unit, I had to have the door open, key on, hold the alarm reset button. The status LED never came on, but after a few seconds the power door locks locked and unlocked 3 or 4 times. Then I pushed each remote (there were 4 of them) and then let go the reset alarm button. Then all the remotes worked.

I am sure there's a way to turn off auto arming, etc. But I sure haven't found it. But I think you are right about the door being open and key on. Just can't seem to find the combo. Thanks!
