I have tried high and low check and the first start after engine sits a few hours over-runs.  Then the second start is OK.  I have set it in learn mode.  Any suggestions ???

Make sure that the vehicle has reached it's lowest idle speed before attempting to learn the tach signal.

I will try that.

I suppose I should put the blower and defroster on when I "learn the tach"

Cheers

Tried turning all accessories on and re-learned the signal.  It still over-runs on the first try AFTER car sits a little.  When I try it again immediately after the over-run it is fine.  Why would it do this ???  I do not want to damage my starter.

I have tried catching the lowest signal.  I cannot understand why it is selective on when it will overrun.  Usually after car has cooled down.  I will try it under load by brake holds pretty good.

The other problem I have is my AC tester is 500MV and it reads 27.0 to 32.0 is this correct.  I am using the Brown Red at the coil.  Someone suggested the injectors they are really easy to get at.  Should I try them ?

Thanks for the support guys

Cheers

Sorry to state the obvious, but I want to make sure you have a bunch of things to try.

1. Are you absolutely POSITIVE you have the correct tach wire, like ck auto said? I think if you don't have the correct wire, then you won't be able to program it for TACH mode. If that's the case, then maybe it's overcranking because it's in the wrong mode.

2. If you're positive you have the right tach wire, then are you sure you're programmed for tach mode? Maybe you're still programmed for tachless?

Again, sorry for the easy ideas.......

Thankyou

I have checked the obvious. The Autopage 650 does accept the programming and I have used the high and low settings but either doesent start at all or starts fine 50% of the time and overruns the other 50& but also created another post regarding what the tach should read I want to make sure it is getting the proper signal.

cheers

Travis
