Compustar CM3000 in a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 Hatchback (MT)

The only problem I have run it to on this install was that the drivers side door doesn’t trigger the open door sensor, it seems as if it doesn’t have a sensor on that door. When the driver’s door is open the dome light and the open door light do not come on. The only way to set the reservation mode for the remote start (MT), is to open and then close the passenger side door to activate the door sensor.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Because of the way the sensors are built into the latches nowadays they aren't quite as easy to troubleshoot as normal pinswitches sitting in the door jambs. I would probably just go to a dealer depending on how involved you want to get. The dome should definately come on when you open the driver door so maybe at the least check for any loose connections. Good luck

Mike
