I've installed plenty of car stereos but this will be the first time installing an alarm. Does anyone know of a book or website that would detail installation procedures such as how to actually tap into my car's wiring, what type of connectors to use, where to mount the control unit, where to mount siren, and other specific questions. I have the installation manual but, it's instructions are too general for me.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
