did a car starter on 03 s-10 and 30 miles later got a check engine light and the oil pressure gauge is bouncing around. hooked it up using audiovox tech sheet? got any ideas.

Sounds as thou something hath commeth loose, possible ground problem? Just a hunch check for that and worst case scenario, get out the ol scope and see what the engine codes say. Good luck! Tim

figured it out audiovox doesnt say anything about the third ignition (white) in the tech sheet. i didnt look for it either because it was a thin wire. found it now and it is all good

Most Chevys if not all of them has White wire 2-nd ignition. It's very important to hook up this wire. I've heard some stories that transmission won't switch higher than second gear after remotely started.

correct there are three wires that are hot in the crank on the s-10 and on the newer olds cars. i never noticed the white on the s-10 cause it was 8 gauge and the rest of the wires were 12 awg. i figured the tech sheet would be ok... it never is
