I started posting about my problem in the relays area, but have since been swayed to believe that my DEI 551R may have failed internally and is not giving out a good negative trigger for the parking lights.

If I measure between the negative trigger and chassis ground I read 0.56V.  Between negative trigger and the +12V power (same one used to power the relay) I am reading 0.75V.

Lights were working as normal, then they quit.  All other functions work.  I have confirmed the wiring to the relay, good connections, good power source.  I bought another relay, still no lights, no click.

How do I correctly verify the negative trigger?

Thank you in advance for all help!

Brian

Does your alarm have the ability to send out a positive trigger for your lights? if so try and see if that sends a good signal.

Remember check all your wires with a DMM!

No, 551R remote start only has negative trigger for lights.
