I want to use the onboard parking light relay on my alarm (old CodeAlarm alarm) to sound my horn when the alarm goes off. Would those relays be strong enough for this purpose or do I need an extra relay?

Will you also be using the onboard relay to flash your parking lights, too? If so, then I would definitely use a relay. In fact, if you're not using it for the parking lights, I think I would use a relay anyway....it can't hurt....and they're cheap :-)

Yea I was planning on having the parking lights as well as the horn run off those relays. Going to have to find a relay now.

Thanks for the quick reply!

If you're going to do both, then you definitely need it. In fact, I think you might have to use a diode or two in there....but I'm not as good with diode installs, so you might want to wait until someone confirms. It has to do something with preventing your horn from going off when you turn on your parking lights. I think that's what you want to prevent.
