I want to put a remote start /alarm in my 2002 Ford F250 and I was wondering how the aftermarket unit would interact with the factory keyless entry unit. I don't want to carry two remotes around so I was wondering if it is possible for the factory unit to controll the auto lock and Domelight on when the truck is shut off and have the aftermarket unit controll keyless entry and domelight supervision? Is this possible?

Thanks

Chuck

Why don't you just ditch the factory keyless and remotes and get a full alarm or keyless entry with the remote start. You will have improved range and other features.

You just integrate the aftermarket remote start/alarm system with ur factory system...You would just hook into the factory lock/unlock wires and factory domelight wire (will have to use relays for this stuff) with ur alarm's lock/unlock wires and domelight wire to take care of the keyless and domelight supervision...

Then for remote start, you're going to need to bypass the truck's pats system, u will need a module for that, all that will do is temporarily bypass that feature so u can remote start it, but it'll still be there and intact...

This way all you will need to carry is the aftermarket alarm's remote and that's it.
