I would like any info on how to switch on the rear defrost with remote start. I have a 1998 Chrysler Concorde. Thanks.

it's not possible i dont think, theres a timer built into the switch, i'm sure you could probably bypass the switch with a relay but i dont know the colors and would have to test the car to find out

Thanks for the reply I know they are on timers (mine is 12min) but I was only trying to somehow switch it on with remote start so window would be defrosted by the time I enter the car.

good call.  i was just on the phone with DEI about that.  they told me to test all of the wires on the switch and mimic what they are doing.  what unit are you using?  you might have to have an output that can be programmed to pulsed output.  some defoggers are triggered that way.  i did a nissan quest and i just applied voltage to the wire on the switch and it ran the grid and turned the light on.  it was activated by pressing an extra channel on the remote and shut off with the same button.
