I have this alarm that won't seem to go into program mode. I am trying to get the valet switch to put the alarm in valet mode instead of just setting the alarm off which the brain came factory set at. The instruction booklet is absolutly worthless and all the "pros" around here just keep telling me I have a crappy alarm which is true but everything else about it works just fine. The book says to switch it to switched valet mode I must have the door open and the ignition turned on and then press and release button 3, 2, 1, 2 Then it's supposed to blick and chirp to confirm but nothing ever happens. I have a cyborg-IV alarm made by Hitron security systems. It's a cheapy but everything else seems to work fine so I don't know if I'm missing a step or what. If someone could look into this or maybe has a solution as to how I can bypass this all-together by wiring something, please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no outlet for the valet switch, only a single wire that comes out of the 23(?) pin harness
