I installed my first Compustar 2wss-as on a 02 Z-06 Corvette. After remote starting and not driving the vehicle, the factory radio stays on until the door is opened. Not a big deal, but is there a way around this via a diode?

Thanks,

Tucker

You need to pulse the door trigger wire with a pulse after shutdown. I dont know if compustar has a specific wire for such a pulse, but if not then you can use your lock wire to pulse it. You need to program your unit to lock after shutdown if it is not already (I am pretty sure your unit can do this). Then branch your lock output into 2 and put a diode on each with the band on the side of the unit. One can go to the lock wire and the other to the door trigger. I dont know if the corvette has a door pin as well, but you should go to that if there is one. If you look in the door jamb there will be a pin. It is likely negative if there is one. Test it first.

Drivers Door trigger is Gray/Black at the BCM which is located in the passenger footwell under the carpet.
